And then the silence descends round

A golden snake coiled The Earth
From the seeds gush mutant fishes
that flourished as the plants…
New wind chants the funeral march of a world that just was
The last man, covering his head with the veils of sand,
writes an epitaph without reproach to all those who
could have been spare the time of love to loving…


E poi il silenzio scende tondo
Un serpente d’oro avvolge La Terra
Dai semi scoppiando sgorgano pesci mutanti
che fioriscono come le piante…
Nuovo vento intona la marcia funebre di un mondo che già fosse
L’ultimo uomo, coprendosi la testa con i veli di sabbia,
scrive un epitaffio senza rimprovero a tutti quelli che
avrebbe potuto risparmiare il tempo di amore amando…


și apoi coboară rotundă tăcerea
Un șarpe de aur încolăcește Pământul
Din sâmburi plesnind țâșnesc pești mutanți
înflorind precum plantele…
Vânt nou intonează marșul funebru unei lumi deja foste
Ultimul om, acoperindu-și capul în văluri de nesip,
scrie un epitaf fără reproșuri pentru toți cei care
ar fi putut risipi timpul iubirii iubind…
