We need a new social vision

Trilingual post: English, Italian and Romanian languages

Noting the continuing deterioration of society, hypocrisy of systems of states and serious social issues, I have come to the conclusion that education is the root of evil.
Corruptions, the decision making in the state and the use of state money for the foreign interests of the people, intolerance, indifference to values, the fierce battle to get the money, then, for wasting money on silly trifles, crime, wars, economic disparities, hunger, any other bad, are starting by education.
Why in no country of the world, to the children are not taught in schools profound knowledges of moral, of true financial knowledges, criminal law, knowledges of languages other than those of the exchange, the so-called spiritual languages?
Since the systems of the State are designed to operate beyond the man, ignoring anything besides to their existence of systems. Under the hypocritical justification of safeguard national security, are sacrificed the State itself, in reality his people, actually subjecting people to the mechanisms hostile even on their expenses. We need a new social vision. Behold, from now on we will search together the path towards humanity and the healing of our planet dying.

  1. YES! As an ex teacher, I can vouch for this, Valeriu. The system attempts to cram rigid facts into the delicate vessel that is a child’s mind and spirit, often ignoring the latter as if it were a mere chimera. But ‘educare’ means ‘to lead out’ – and the very best teachers are able to do this. Or were; they are increasingly crippled by a corrupt and punitive way of seeing education. It is all about league tables and exam results and the school getting an outstanding at Ofsted. The children are merely means to that superficial and transitory end. It is one of the reasons why I retired early from the profession. But, it is education in the wider sense too. In too many homes, acquisition of material comfort takes precedence over spiritual values, love, generosity, concern for others and acknowledging the Divine Spark we all share. A brilliant piece. Thank you. Ali x

  2. I have worked with wayward students. Students who abused the attendance, value and behavioral systems. Do not want to go to school due to personal abuses or a family’s dysfunction. The education system is pays only attention to the one’s who make good grades and cooperate. If you do not, they are placed in a continuation school. My job is to motivate, encourage and direct students to continue on and finish. Yet, they come in pregnant, caring for oneself, tattoos and earphones. They do not want anyone to tell them what to do. Although difficult, I enjoy working in an imperfect system and seeing each student look for new horizons. It is gratifying as a teacher to see the changes albeit on a small scale. Never give up even and keep going one by one.
